With ~1900g the collapsible W.STOVE Titanium Tent Wood Stove (also 3W Stove) incl. a 3m Rollable Chimney Pipe is extremly lightweight, and it packs so small that it is absolutely suitable to fit in a backpack.
We have tested several demountable stoves, and the W.STOVE from the South Korean manufactuer Wild Wild West is our first choice.
The assembly is a bit more complicated than other models, but that is more than compensated by the material quality, weight, packing size and overall useability of the stove.
The construction of the body is surprisingly airtight, which allows an effective regulation of the venting, and gives much more control over the fire.
That results in longer burns per lay, less wood consume, and a more constant temperature in the tent.
The strong tempered glass window is made in Germany, and produces a pleasing ambient light in the tent, something we really miss on other stoves. In addition to that it continously gives you an idea what is on inside the stove without having to open it.
Where the flue is flanged to the stove body, a damper and a spark arrestor ca be shoved in two seperate slits of the pipe connector. In this place the spark arrestor does not give 100% protection, as soot can still accumulate inside the flue and may eventually be launched out of it. But that is a reasonable tradeoff in our opinion, as the arrestor still catches the dangerous big sparks that try to escape the burning chamber, and in this position it can be cleaned in action really easy. The damper is near to obsolete, due to the airtight stove body.
We deliver all our W.STOVEs solely with Titanium Rollable Chimneys and not with the cheaper and heavier stainless steel pipes.
In case something gets lost or broken, we supply spare parts.
Delivered with the 3m Rollable Chimney Pipe we recommend the stove for our Tschum 4P Katun and Tschum 4P Light Katun.
