The segments of this tentpole are made from beautiful and fine grained ash wood, and have a diameter of 27mm.
To provide a slack free fit of the segments, they are prcisely cut to a specific angle. When downward pressure is applied, the connections will be pressed to the wall of the massive aluminum fittings, and slack will be eliminated. After taking the pressure from the pole, the segments can be detached with ease.
The end segments are sharpened to 19mm diameter, and all sorfaces are treated with linseed oil.
We recommend the 140cm pole for the Tschum 1P models, where high wind forces or snow loads may occur.
Packing measures of the standard version is 52,5cm.
